Nicola Le Brocq brings over two decades of regulatory and fund industry expertise to her leadership role at Jersey Finance. She serves as Director – Funds and Corporate in the UK, leveraging deep experience in financial regulation, fund structuring, and international market development to position Jersey as a leading global hub for alternative investment.
Born in Jersey, Nicola has a strong regulatory background having spent over six years at the Jersey Financial Services Commission – working in Securities supervision, authorisation and enforcement – before moving into industry in investment gatekeeper and regulatory consultancy roles. During the last seven years, Nicola’s London based roles for two global financial technology companies saw her concentrate on regulatory technology solutions as a product and market specialist working extensively with Alternative Investment Managers in the UK and US.
Formerly at the Jersey Financial Services Commission, Nicola focused on securities supervision, authorization, and enforcement—laying the foundation for her regulatory acumen. At Jersey Finance, she has been instrumental in driving the development of the island’s private fund regimes, governance frameworks, and market strategies.
In mid-2023, Nicola highlighted that Jersey’s regulated fund asset base surpassed US $650 billion, affirming its strength in global asset servicing, especially for private equity, real estate, and private debt. Additionally, she leads initiatives under the “Women in Alternatives” banner—championing gender equity and leadership across global capital markets through networking events, industry dialogue, and mentorship.
