Since 2021, Tania Eyanga is a corporate development executive and the lead architect and visionary at the helm of the Central Africa Markets VC & Private Equity Association (CAMPEA), the incoming regional industry body advancing private capital and investment management across Central Africa.  She is an operator in African finance in Central and Francophone Africa, with a track record of fostering cross-border investments. She founded and spearheads CAMPEA as Chair to amplify the voice of private capital markets in Central Africa,  by federating parties that build credibility, harmonisation and scale to the region’s investment ecosystem. Under Tania’s stewardship, CAMPEA is emergent as a trusted convenor and umbrella organisation connecting local fund managers, global allocators, DFIs, commercial and impact investors, policymakers, both SMEs and corporate industry leaders. Her strategic vision ensures that Central Africa’s private equity market is not only investor-ready, but also positioned for long-term sustainable growth, driving both economic transformation and social impact.

Career Overview

Throughout her professional trajectory, Ms Eyanga has championed  investment channeling and financial integration solutions that facilitate catalytic capital deployment into sectors that drive economic growth and social impact in Africa at large, with a strong focus on Central Africa. She is a C-suite corporate finance and financial markets professional specialising financial management, investor relations, private equity and direct lending mobilisation within the investment management industry. With over 15  years of experience, she is widely recognised for her endeavors for mobilising global venture debt and equity investments into Africa’s emerging markets.

A native of the DRC, Tania began her career at BNY Mellon’s Asset Servicing division as a Global Capital Markets Expert, managing institutional & corporate actions, including securities lending operations within the firm’s global custody and fund administration unit. She later co-founded GEE Consulting Partners to facilitate financing, trade and FDI market entry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, and Angola. She has since worked across infrastructure, mining, energy, and early-stage capital markets, advising sovereign entities vehicles and governments, multinationals and private sector stakeholders.

Tania is also CEO of Excelsum Ventures Group, a London-based, female-founded capital raising and investor relations firm servicing venture and alternative assets in EMEA markets, Central Africa and beyond encompassing transaction advisory from hydrocarbons, energy to mining and agriculture infrastructure investing mandates.

Her expertise spans capital structuring, deal and placement origination, investor relations, and transactions advisory. In her capacity as independent financial investment intermediary and advisor, she has supported and worked alongside emerging businesses, commercial and investment banks, asset managers, governments, and institutional investors across EMEA and SSA. She currently serves in Board Advisor to The African Business Trade Association (ABTA) and is currently pursuing a CFA and CAIA accreditation.

Ms. Eyanga holds an MBA in Corporate Finance & Strategy from the University of Sunderland where she was recognised as the Entrepreneur Alumni Achiever of the Year 2022 by her alma mater. She holds a BA in International Business & Applied Linguistics from TU Dublin. Amongst others, her endeavours have earned her recognition from several financial markets’ outlets of global repute including her nominations by Investment Week with her nomination as International Woman of the Year for two consecutive years, as well as a winner of the prestigious Black Women in Asset Management Award.

Tania builds and manages partnerships with global development finance institutions, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds, ensuring that Africa’s frontier markets remain firmly on the global investment agenda. Leveraging her multi-sectorial experience, she deploys tacit and market-level intelligence overview into dialogues and policies driving operational capital raising and allocation from both corporate entities and portfolio companies, including fund-level challenges faced by the financing operators in the region.

Her experience is pivotal in shaping Central Africa’s narrative within the broader African investment landscape. She adds unique value by aligning global investor expectations with local market realities, supporting the adoption of international best practices in ESG and impact measurement, and driving initiatives that enhance transparency, data availability, and investment confidence. Through her contributions, CAMPEA is positioned not only as a convening platform but also as a catalyst for unlocking sustainable capital flows into Central Africa’s private equity and venture capital ecosystem.

Her experience in building investor networks, scaling organisations, and influencing investment readiness dialogue directly strengthens CAMPEA’s mission of unlocking capital flows into frontier markets. Her track record in shaping regional investment frameworks and fostering collaboration between global allocators and local corporations and institutions positions her as a key driver of CAMPEA’s agenda to make Central Africa a resilient financial system and recognised investment hub, emphasising economic growth through innovative financing solutions and strategic investments.
