The Central Africa Markets Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (CAMPEA) is the sole industry body dedicated to promoting and developing private equity and venture capital in Central Africa. We deliver value through research, advocacy, training, and convening, helping investors, policymakers, and ecosystem partners unlock private capital for regional growth.
Role Overview
The Senior Programme Manager will play a leadership role in developing, managing, and delivering CAMPEA’s programmes and initiatives across research, advocacy, capacity building, and industry events. The role requires strong programme design and execution skills, stakeholder management experience, and the ability to work across multiple projects with high visibility and impact.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and implementation of flagship programmes and events (virtual and on-site), ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.

Manage and mentor junior programme staff and consultants.

Support the Programme Director in defining strategic priorities, workplans, and budgets.

Liaise with members, investors, policymakers, and donors to strengthen CAMPEA’s impact.

Oversee project reporting, monitoring, and evaluation processes.

Develop content and materials for events, training, and stakeholder engagement.

Represent CAMPEA in programme-related meetings, workshops, and forums.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, International Relations, or related field.

5–7 years of professional experience in programme/project management, preferably in private capital, financial services, or development finance.

Familiarity with African regional integration, Central Africa markets, or emerging market ecosystems.

Track record of presenting at or contributing to industry conferences.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering multi-stakeholder programmes, training, and events.

Strong background in financial markets, and knowledge of African private equity, venture capital, or capital markets is an advantage.

Excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills.

Bilingual proficiency in English and French or Portuguese highly desirable.
