CAMPEA is seeking a senior professional to lead its partnerships and stakeholder engagement strategy. Based in Yaoundé with regional reach, this role will drive collaboration with fund managers, institutional investors, DFIs, and corporates to strengthen private equity and venture capital in Central Africa.

The Central Africa Markets Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (CAMPEA) is the leading and official regional industry umbrella organisation advancing private equity and venture capital in Central Africa. Through advocacy, research, training, and industry convenings, CAMPEA connects investors, fund managers, policymakers, and ecosystem stakeholders to unlock capital, promote best practices, and strengthen the region’s investment ecosystem.
Role Overview
The Head of Partnerships will lead CAMPEA’s partnership strategy and functions, steering sponsorship leads and driving engagement with corporate partners namely endowments, academic and research organisations, industry associations, international and pan-African fund managers, institutional investors, development finance institutions, corporates, and ecosystem stakeholders. This role is critical to expanding CAMPEA’s reach, securing sustainable and profitable collaborations, and building value-added relationships that enhance the Association’s programmes, research, and advocacy agenda. The Head of Partnerships will work closely with the leadership team to design and implement strategies that deliver long-term growth and strengthen CAMPEA’s position as a trusted platform for private capital in Central Africa.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute CAMPEA’s partnership and membership engagement strategy.

Lead relationship management with fund managers, institutional investors, DFIs, corporates, and other strategic partners.

Secure and manage sponsorships, memberships, and collaborative initiatives that contribute to CAMPEA’s financial sustainability and industry impact.

Design partnership frameworks, agreements, and reporting systems to ensure clarity and accountability.

Collaborate across departments to leverage partnerships in programmes, events, research, and advocacy initiatives.

Represent CAMPEA in high-level engagements, forums, and negotiations with external stakeholders.

Monitor partnership performance, track outcomes, and prepare periodic reports for leadership and partners.

Identify new opportunities for regional and international collaboration that advance private capital development in Central Africa.
Skills/Experience

Minimum Bachelor in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, International Relations, or related field.

5+ years of professional experience in partnership management, business development, or investor relations, preferably within private equity, venture capital, asset management, or development finance.

Proven track record of building and maintaining strategic partnerships with institutional stakeholders.

Preferable understanding and prior exposure to financial and capital markets in Africa, Europe or US, including surrounding ecosystems of actors, with a particular focus on the role of investment companies.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Demonstrated ability to secure commercial partnerships and manage sponsorships, memberships, or devise and articulate grants funding.

Experience in international or pan-African organizations is highly desirable.

Bilingual proficiency in English and French or Portuguese strongly preferred.
