About CAMPEA

The Central Africa Markets Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (CAMPEA) is the regional industry body advancing private equity and venture capital through advocacy, research, training, and convening. CAMPEA provides a platform that connects investors, policymakers, and ecosystem stakeholders to unlock capital and strengthen markets across Central Africa.

CAMPEA is seeking an Event Programmes Coordinator to manage and execute both virtual and on-site events, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and networking sessions. The role will support the design, planning, and delivery of events that strengthen investor engagement, showcase market opportunities, and advance private equity and venture capital across Central Africa. The ideal candidate will have experience in event management, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and logistics across virtual and physical platforms.


Role Overview

The Events Programme Coordinator will support the design, coordination, and delivery of CAMPEA’s events portfolio, including flagship conferences, workshops, roundtables, and training programmes. The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage both virtual and on-site events at international standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning, logistics, and execution of CAMPEA’s events (virtual and in-person).

  • Work with programme and communications teams to ensure content, speakers, and materials are aligned with CAMPEA’s strategic objectives.

  • Liaise with members, sponsors, and partners to ensure engagement and high-quality event experiences.

  • Manage event registrations, delegate communications, and participant follow-up.

  • Support budget management, vendor procurement, and contract administration for events.

  • Maintain and update event records, databases, and reporting.

  • Assist in developing event promotional content with the communications team.

Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Business Administration, International Relations, or related field.

  • 2–4 years of experience in event coordination or programme management, preferably in finance, investment, or development sectors.

  • Demonstrated ability to organise events with multiple stakeholders (government, private sector, DFIs, investors).

  • Desirable IT and digital tools knowledge for virtual event platforms (Zoom, Lumia, Cisco Webex, GoogleMeets, MS Teams, etc.).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; English required, French highly desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge in financial markets, economics or similar contexts is an asset.
