London 22 October 2025  — SuperReturn Africa, the Continent’s leading private equity and venture capital conference, and the Central Africa Markets Private Equity Association (CAMPEA) are proud to announce the opening of applications for the Central African Investment Leader of the Year Award 2025, open to LPs and GPs nominations.

This prestigious recognition, supported and hosted by CAMPEA, celebrates outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact in private investment across Central Africa, spotlighting individuals and institutions that are driving sustainable economic transformation in the region.

About the Award

The Central African Investment Leader of the Year award honours fund managers, institutional investors, LPs, or venture capital investors within the wider ecosystem leaders who have:

• Demonstrated excellence in fund performance, innovation, or capital mobilisation;

• Advanced ESG, impact, or inclusive investment practices;

• Strengthened cross-border collaboration and investor confidence in Central African markets;

• Played a leading role in governance, mentorship, or capacity-building within the investment community.

Requirement

This category recognises the investment activity, performance, and strategic impact of LPs and GPs focused on Central Africa. It highlights both locally based fund managers deploying capital into companies and projects within the region, as well as international investors actively backing Central Africa through fund commitments, co-investments, and other investment vehicles. Evaluation will consider fundraising achievements, capital deployment, new deals and exits, innovative investment strategies, partnerships, and the overall evolution and influence of the organisation from 2023 to 2025.

The finalists’ shortlist will be published on the 20th November 2025.

The winner will be announced during SuperReturn Africa 2025 taking place at the Westin  Cape Town, with special recognition trophies distributed at the award networking reception.
